Some Quick Facts about the Taj Mahal

  • Taj Mahal is an ivory white mausoleum on the southern bank of river Yamuna.
  • It was built in Agra between 1632&1648 by the order of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife Mumtaz.
  • The mausoleum of Shah Jahan is also situated beside it.
  • The Taj Mahal is marvelous work of Mughal art in India and one of the universally admired World heritage center.
